1) Wait till you think your dancing is perfect.
Your dancing is beautiful now! I’ve said it before and I will say it again; I will bring out the best in your dancing, no matter your level. I coach all my dancers on technique during their photoshoots so you don’t have to cross your fingers and hope it turns out good because I will make sure it does!
2) Wait till you win or podium.
Competition is only one measure of your dancing and beyond that it is so subjective too! Don’t get me wrong I love some beautiful dance hardware but it does not define your dancing. I’ve had some amazingly talented dancers in front of my camera who have never podiumed at any major.
3) Wait till it’s almost time to return the trophy!
If you are fortunate enough to have podiumed at a major. Plan ahead! Please please please don’t put off being photographed. I’ve talked to many dancers who missed their opportunity to be photographed simply cause they forgot to schedule a photoshoot. And the following year life happened and they weren’t able to compete, defend their title, or got injured.
