Welcome to the first episode of Dancer's Spotlight. In each episode I will interview one of my inspirational dance photography clients.

I really hope you enjoy the very first episode featuring Keara Durand. ✨

Keara has had an exceptional Irish dance career full of crazy challenges and equally amazing triumphs. She is an amazing example of someone who overcame the odds to fulfill her dreams. Some of it sounds like it’s out of a movie in the best way. 😄 It just goes to show there are many ways to achieve your goals and it’s never too late!

Stay tuned to hear about her dance life, competitive career and her experience being photographed by me. I’ve also added in lots of photos throughout the interview to accompany the stories that Keara tells throughout the interview.

Sophia's NYC Coney Island Dance Photoshoot

What an amazing day kicking off photoshoots again after a few months on hold with covid. Sophia and I danced and frolicked around on the boardwalk and beach at Coney Island in NYC. We had the most spectacular weather and got a bit sandy and wet in the process but the photos we got made it worth it. 😄☀️

Here are some behind the scenes photos. We got so many amazing dance portraits in some killer outfits that I consulted and styled Sophia in. I’m still gushing over the clothes.

This shoot was also a celebratory one. We did cap and gown 🎓 shots to celebrate this fabulous high school grad. 🥳 And did I mention Sophia is a 2019 SRO Champ?! Sash and trophy portraits were a blast to do. And if that wasn’t all exciting enough, with many comps being cancelled the last few month, Sophia got to wear her new solo dress for the first time during her photoshoot.

Making a statement with Emily's photoshoot!

A breathtaking photoshoot with Emily today. She is in her last year of high school, this was Emily’s senior shoot. I’m so happy she decide to do it with me so she could highlight her love of dance along with stunning capturing portraits.

We went from an elegant gown all the way to chic casual. And if that wasn’t enough she also showed off her musical talents on the fiddle! Safe to say that we gave NYC some looks to turn heads. 🙌

I love how Emily’s mom described the photoshoot experience and what it means to her:
